Make sure your car has a full tank and is ready for a longer journey to the border.
Always have a charged mobile phone on hand and don't rely on an internet communication.
Have enough cash in Ukrainian currency or other currencies such as euro or US dollar to cover the cost of living for several days. Don't forget your passport or other ID. If you do not have any document,also take invalid or damaged documents or photocopies of documents.
Don't forget:
- prepare and keep your and your family's documents (ID card, passport, if you have one - vaccination / recovery certificate)
- if possible , take other important documents, including, for example, birth certificates, marriage certificates, property certificates, diplomas and other documents related to education
- prepare cash
- medicines that you regularly take or need to have available
- mobile phone charger and, if you have an external battery
- basic hygiene products
- dry food that can be eaten directly without cooking. Pay special attention to food for small children
- two liters of drinking water in a plastic container, under no circumstances use a glass container
- take comfortable shoes and clothes, assuming that, for example, roads may be blocked and you will only be able to get to the border on foot
- flashlight,
- blanket,
- do not bring weapons, explosives or drugs
- write down the most important contacts on the phone and, additionally, on a piece of paper (including emergency numbers and the number to consulates in Ukraine)
- download the map of Ukraine to a mobile phone to be able to use it offline
- if you are traveling by your own car - fill them up with full fuel and replenish fuel supplies on the route as much as possible.
