This is a reminder that everyone, especially women who are currently trying to leave Ukraine, are at high risk of human trafficking. There are many people who offer travel and shelter, but not all are who they claim to be.
Never give your passport or identity documents to anyone but a border guard. Take a picture of it with your phone so you have a copy if you lost it but still have the phone. Send this copy to friends / family / email yourself.
Tell your loved ones where you are. Send them the details of the helpers, as well as the registration plates of the vehicles that transport you.
